What happens when you complete your drug and alcohol treatment? Do you have the ability to step back into care from time to time? When you work with Ethan Crossing Recovery, you are welcome to be a part of our alumni program. This, along with our sober living strategies and tips and our aftercare program, may help you to spend the next years of your life sober. How does it all work?
What Will You Learn In An Alumni Program?
During your drug and alcohol treatment, you will learn about our alumni and aftercare program. It is an opportunity for you to start thinking about and planning for what happens after you leave drug and alcohol treatment. During this type of program, we will work with you on creating plans for how to manage your addiction. You may learn:
- How to avoid relapse
- Strategies to manage stress
- When and how to get help if you’re thinking about using
- How to manage triggers in your daily life
- Strategies for rebuilding communication and relationships
An aftercare program like this gives you the foundation of how to manage life once you leave therapy. But, it is not just about what happens once you walk out of the doors.
Ongoing Care At Our Treatment Center
In our alumni program, you are able to embrace the support and treatment you received in therapy after you leave. There are many situations in which you may find yourself in need of a little support. You need to talk to someone that is battling what you are and has managed to remain sober through it. Even in those who are dedicated to sober living, challenges can arise.
With our alumni program, you are able to come back for ongoing care when you need it. There are many ways to do this. You are always welcome to embrace one or more of our therapy programs, including:
- Outpatient treatment programs
- Mental health treatment programs
- Family engagement program
- 12 step therapy program
- Intensive outpatient program
In this opportunity, the goal is to give you the tools and resources you need to stay on the right path moving forward. Everyone may face times in their life that are difficult. That means you may want to reach out to your therapist to get back some of that encouragement and support you need.
In addition to this, many people who are a part of an alumni program also are able to step back into care to help mentor and support others that are dealing with just the begging of their treatment. Being a mentor can be a powerful way to help yourself to thrive for years to come. You can give back.
Support from Sober Living
Sober living is not about a magic cure. No matter what you do in aftercare program therapy as well as in an alumni program, there may be times when you need a bit more support and guidance. That is when you can find that help through our treatment programs at Ethen Crossing. The key is to recognize when you need this help.
If you are thinking about drugs or alcohol or looking back at the time of your life when you used them, it may be time to reach out for help. Doing so is an important way to avoid relapse.
